S. Carrillo

June 4, 1944 — July 16, 2012

Genaro S. Carrillo passed away peacefully on July 16, 2012 with his wife, two daughters, family, and friends at his bedside. He was born in Valentine, Texas on June 4, 1944 and is the fifth son of Aniseto and Clara Carrillo. Preceded in death by his parents, Aniseto and Clara, brothers Oscar, Calixtro and Hector. Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years Mary; his two daughters Cynthia Burrola, (Carlos) and Virginia “Baby” Johnson, (Michael); brothers Aniseto, (Andrea) and Noe; sister-in-law Manuela Carrillo; grandchildren: Gabriel, Joshua and Jacob Burrola, Michael John, Genaro and Alexander Johnson; great grand-daughter Madison Burrola; and many loving nephews and nieces. Jerry graduated from El Paso Technical High School in 1963, where he began his profession in typesetting and printing. He owned and operated “The Apex Rubber Stamps Co.” for 36 years. Jerry and Mary served the El Paso community, and customers of which many became very close friends. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, godfather, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a HUGE Dallas Cowboy Fan, through thick and thin. He also followed the Boston Celtics with a passion. He loved listening to his oldies, and Rancheras. We would like to acknowledge our sincere gratitude to Dr. Alvarez and the staff from Davita Dialysis on Mesa and Transmountain Facilities, and especially to our ENTIRE family and friends for the support and always being with us, we love you. Pallbearers: Gabriel, Joshua and Jacob Burrola, Michael John, Genaro and Alexander Johnson. Richard Limas, Oscar Jr, Hector Jr, Nao and Jerry Lee Carrillo, and Edgar Miranda. Honorary Pallbearers: Carlos Burrola, Michael John Johnson, Aniseto and Noe Carrillo, Manny Carmona, John Wymetalek, William Garrett, Gregorio, Martin & Ismael Anaya, Ron and Mando Segura, Donny, Marcus, Larry Bailey, Eddie Navarrette, Oscar and Cruz Gonzalez, Juan Duran, Guillermo Contreras, Joaquin Paredes, Bill Cuddy and Rene Duron. Visitation will be held from 5-9pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7pm, Friday, July 20, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will begin at 8am, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley.
