Ruth Carrillo

Our mom Maria del Refugio (Ruth) Garcia Carrillo, 78 years old born 4th of July 1929 in El Paso, TX. Went to be with the Lord on 23rd of October 2007. She attended Bowie High School and later in her life she relocated to Los Angeles, CA, and was employed for 20 years by Sears, however after moving back to El Paso she worked at El Paso Independent School District and retired after 15 years. She was a member of the San Franciscan order from Roger Bacon Seminaries and she also was a member of a number of parishes, Christ the Savior, Roger Bacon, Corpus Christi, Our Lady of Sorrow, St. Raphael and Santa Lucia to name a few. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren forever giving to all. One of her greatest losses was her adopted son Sergio. Preceded in death by her parents; Alfonso and Luisa Chacon Garcia and son Jose Carrillo. She is survived by her husband; Manuel Carrillo, children; Gloria and Family, L.A. CA, Irma LaVé and Family, Manuel and Tamara and family of Wichita Fall, TX, Richard, and Tina and family of LV, NV, Chris and Marty and family and Mark and Imelda and family. Brothers and sisters; Ester G. Pivarnick, Margaret G. Dudley, Cecilia G. Rodriguez, Jesus Garcia and Patricia G. Razo, grandchildren; Tony, Nate, Alice, Lorraine, Papas, Raul, Joe, Dorreen, Diane, Kristine, Anna, Jason, Ruben, John, Carissa, Anna-Louisa, Shania, Alex, Laura, Mark Jr., Ivanna and Allison, Great-Grandchildren; Jacklynn, Adam, Andy and Ilena. Visitation will be held 4-9 pm Friday, October 26, 2007 with a Vigil at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East located at 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Roger Bacon Seminary. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-East.
