Russell Vincent Hansen Jr.

Russell Vincent Hansen Jr, known affectionately as “Rusty”, was a caring husband, father, papa, and friend. Rusty was born July 25, 1948 and left this world on May 5, 2024. 

Rusty was born to Russell Vincent Hansen Sr. and Ellen Katherine Hansen in Los Angeles, California. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was known by many later in life to be a proud veteran. After serving his country, Rusty had gone on to be a boilermaker-welder in the construction industry. He retired when moving to New Mexico in 1994. 

Rusty enjoyed working and tinkering in his shop while listening to his “golden oldies”, starting home improvement projects, pouring concrete, and talking to people on his HAM radio. 

Rusty leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Victoria Hansen. He also leaves behind his children David, Dean, Michael, and Katherine as well his grandchildren Alyssa, Spencer, Duncan, Drew, Lanah, Madelyn, and Aubrey.  

Committal Service will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. Immediately following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the VFW post 4384 at 1580 Fourth St. in Anthony, New Mexico.
