Ruben Grijalva

Ruben Grijalva, Jr. started a new chapter in heaven on March 31, 2020- his greatest story ever written. He was a 1987 graduate of Ysleta High School and an army veteran. He lived peacefully in Austin, Texas where he worked for Austin ISD. He loved to fill his mind with the works of many authors and he himself also enjoyed writing. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, especially live venues in Austin. He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Grijalva, Sr. Left to cherish his life story are his mother, Maria L. Grijalva, sisters, Rebecca A. Serrano (Roberto), Imelda M. Lemos (David), nephews, Fabian & Adrian, nieces, Sarah & Annabelle, godchildren, Michael and Elizabeth. Visitation: Thursday March 18, 2021 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm with Rosary at 3:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Funeral mass Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:15am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Internment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Livestream will begin at 2:45 PM through our facebook page.
