Rose Mary U. Chavira

Rose Mary Chavira, 66, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was born September 4, 1945 and was a lifelong resident of El Paso. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School. Rose is preceded in death by her father, Reynaldo G. Chavira. Rose is survived by her daughter, Johanna Ochoterena and her two grandchildren, Michael Ochoterena and Paloma Mendoza, as well as, her mother, Josefina Chavira, and her brother, Jesus J. Chavira (Irma Chavira) and her sister, Alicia Acosta. Visitation will be from 4 PM – 9 PM on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home, located at 750 N Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 1 PM, Friday, May 18, 2012 at Santo Niño de Atocha Catholic Church, 210 Clark. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Road. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesus J. Chavira Jr., Robert Chavira, David Chavira, René Chavira, Mark Acosta and Jorge Ortez Jr. Rose Mary has been called to share in the love and glory of God Almighty. She takes all our love with her and will be missed until we meet again. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
