Rosa Maria Palacios

Rosa Maria Palacios, 58, passed away in her sleep the morning of January 25, 2009 at her home in Ysleta. Rosa was born February 6, 1950 and was the second born of nine children to Luis and Gracia Alicia Duran. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and the stone of support for the entire family. She was preceded by her father and her third born son Angel Palacios who are now in her care. She is loved by her family and husband of over 40 years Paul M. Palacios Jr. She was cherished by her children Paul Palacios III, Louie Palacios, Vanessa St. Pierre, and Carlos Palacios. A devoted mother to her two daughter-in-laws Veronica Palacios, Melissa Palacios and a son-in-law Alfred St. Pierre. A beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren Mathew Palacios, Christopher Palacios, Cedric St. Pierre, Leelah Palacios, Eden Rose St. Pierre, Miranda Palacios, Samantha Palacios, and Jade Palacios. She is survived by her mother Gracia Alicia Duran, siblings Maria De Jesus Duran-Meza, Luisa Adela Duran, Rosaura Lozano, Laura Duran-Olivas, Ricardo Duran, Alice Duran, Lourdres Navarette (Pre-deceased) and Francisco Duran. She relished the time she spent with her husband, took pleasure in the company of her grandchildren and was proud of all her children. She loved to dance and had an artistic nature. She was the one phone call that anyone who needed any help would make. She will be surely missed by all. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-9 pm. at Sunset Funeral Home (9521 North Loop Dr. 79907) Rosary at 7 pm. Mass will be on Thursday 9:00 am at San Judas Catholic Church . It was Rosa’s wishes to be cremated and have her ashes scattered on the pacific coast in northern California. She was planning to have her 60th birthday celebration in California where she grew up.
