Ronald Lee Smith

Ronald Lee Smith, age 89, passed away Saturday December 28, 2024.Born August 9, 1935 to Roy Clark Smith and Irene Mae Smith in Ashland, Kentucky. Ronald was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather son and brother. He will always be remembered for his beautiful personality, always treating others with exceptional kindness and respect. He was smart, charismatic, funny, loving and so much more. Ronald left an everlasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and his legacy will forever be cherished and missed.  

Ronald was preceded in death by his loving wife Erna Smith, mother Irene Mae Smith, father Roy Clark Smith, and brothers RC, Bill, Donald and Larry Smith. 

He is survived by his brothers Jim and Doug Smith, sister Phyllis Knarr, his 2 sons Ronald Lee Smith and Peter Ray Smith, daughter-in-law Amelia Santiago-Smith, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00pm on Wednesday, January 08, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Committal Service to follow at 10:00am on Thursday, January 09, 2025 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
