Ronald J. King was born January 14, 1938 in Duluth, Minnesota to his mother Rose Stec and is survived by his wife, Verna King, sister, Roberta (Bobbi) Frazier, sons, Ronald C. King and Dennis King, step children, Carol MacLeod, Debbie & Ed Buss, Barbra & Bob Noland, Richard Bogs III, Kathy Smith, and Larry & Corina Davis, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a dedicated and loyal father, son, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. Ronald J. King graduated from high school in Appleton, Wisconsin in 1957. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served many assignments throughout the United States, Europe, and Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1980 at the rank of Master Sergeant. After his distinguish military career, he worked for the Department of Defense as a civil service employee for over 20 years. Throughout his life, Ronald enjoyed watching and rooting for his favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers.
A Viewing will be from 11:00am – 3:00pm on Saturday, October 08, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Committal Service will begin at 9:00am on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
