Roland J. Scott

Roland James Scott, age 89, died peacefully at his home January 7th, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Manitoba, Canada, grew up in Chicago, and has been a resident of El Paso since 1949. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from the original State National Bank in 1985. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla (Pris) Scott, two sons, James (Jimmy) Scott and William (Billy) Scott, and daughter, Leanna Lucero. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Sunday January 10, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am, Monday January 11, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be as follows: John McGuire (Honorary Pallbearer), Rod Wells, Ben Braden, Ernie Morales, Fernando Baquera, Robert Warach, and Jimmy Fox.
