Roland Dunwody

Roland Larry Dunwody, 83, passed on to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Roland and Ann Dunwody, and loving wife of 48 years, Judy. He is survived by his daughter Diane, son David (Margaret), grandson Jared (Nathalie), granddaughter Lauren (Cody Laird), and great-granddaughter Bennett. He is also survived by his former brother-in-law Robert Foster, and other loved ones, including dogs Tater and Muffin and friend Doug. He will be greatly missed. A longtime resident of El Paso, Texas, Larry brought his family with him, moving from Abilene, Texas. He loved his family, friends, pets, and the truth. He enjoyed attending UTEP Miner men's basketball games for 50+ years. He also enjoyed gardening, having had, at one time, 70 blooming rose bushes. Larry had a wonderful tenor singing voice. His favorite hymn was Amazing Grace and Psalm 100 a family scripture. Psalm 100 (KJV) 1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
