Rogelio Vasquez, known to his friends as “Halo,” passed from this life on August 11, 2018, at the age of 41.
He is survived by his mother Sylvia, and his father, José Juan. He leaves behind his sisters, Gabby and Mercy, and brother, JJ. He is also survived by his children, Beyoncé Aaliyah Vasquez, and Victoria and Matthew Galaviz. He spent the happy final years of his life with his significant other, Pilar Galaviz, in his hometown of El Paso.
Roger had a wonderfully infectious smile and laugh, especially when being the incredibly sarcastic smart ass we all knew and loved. He was a devoted son, helping his mother raise his sisters and brother. He was a natural leader; everyone wanted to be near him. Roger always knew the right way to do things, or so he told us. He was born artist, whether writing, drawing, sculpting, taking photographs, or organizing. His love of Star Wars was unparalleled in this galaxy or any other. Roger never knew how much he was loved. This world will never be the same without him.
A Memorial and Visitation Service will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday, August 16th, at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N Carolina.
