Roberto Ontiveros Glory be to God our Angel has been called home to heaven, Roberto was surrounded by family at home and peacefully left this earth to be with the Lord on July 2, 2011. Roberto was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. “Beto” was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. Preceded in death by parents Leandro and Sarita Ontiveros, brothers, Reynaldo, Raul, and Rafael. Survived by children Cindy Rutledge, Zonia Limon (Joe), Ninette Flores, Reuben Ontiveros (Celeste), and Dorothy Fineron (Ron). Grandchildren Ana, Joseph, D.J., and Tiahna. Great Grandchildren Adrian, Victoria, Josiaha, Savannah, and Dayzelle. Brother Rogelio Ontiveros, Sister Romelia Pacheco. “Beto” was raised in Smeltertown and proudly served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division, and received a parachutist badge. “Beto” retired from Asarco and spent his time loving, teaching, and setting an extraordinary example of family unity. “The best and surest way to learn the love of Jesus is through the family.” Visitation will be held July 7, 2011 from 5 to 7pm, Sunset Funeral Home west, Vigil at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held July 8, 2011 at 12:00pm St. Mathews Catholic Church; interment will follow at Fort Bliss National cemetery. Pallbearers; Reuben Ontiveros, Adrian Chavez, Joseph Limon, Josiaha Limon, DJ Flores, Gabby Ontiveros, Ronald Fineron, Javier Ontiveros. Honorary Pallbearers; Rafael, Ricardo, Reymundo Ontiveros, Jordan Crocker, Corey Ontiveros. Sincere love and gratitude to Reuben and Celeste Ontiveros.
