Roberto Armendariz

Roberto “Beto” Armendariz, age 79, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 05, 2025 in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and will be dearly missed. Beto is preceded in death by his parents: Guillermo Armendariz Godoy and Maria De Jesus Romero, and his granddaughter: Jacqueline Camille Moreno. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Maria Angela Armendariz, his children: Maribel Benanti (Joseph), Roberto Armendariz Jr. (Marisela), Ruben Armendariz (Pilar), and Daniel Armendariz (Nancy), his siblings: Ruben Armendariz, Maria Concepcion Jimenez, and Maria de Jesus Rojas. 15 grandchildren, as well as 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.

He was a sharp and accomplished businessman whose passion for vehicles led him to own and operate a successful auto shop and car dealership. His entrepreneurial spirit extended beyond the automotive world, as he also built and managed an extensive portfolio of real estate properties. He was known for his keen instincts, strong work ethic, and dedication to everything he pursued.

Pallbearers include: Robert Armendariz Jr., Ruben Armendariz, Daniel Armendariz, Anthony Armendariz, Sergeant Christopher Moreno, Corporal Adrian Armendariz, Daniel Armendariz Jr., and Carlos Armendariz.

Roberto’s visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes-West with a holy rosary to commence at 6:00pm with a eulogy to follow. His funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, May 2, 2025 at St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church, 5750 Doniphan Dr. The graveside service will follow at 11:45am at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.
