Major (Ret.) Robert E. Roelse, born August 16th, 1948, in Bayreuth, Germany passed away on May 27th, 2012. He is survived by two daughters, Tanya (Justin) Wentworth and Katya Roelse (Nazim Karaca); and a grandson, Axel Wentworth. He served 20 years in the U.S. Army as a logistics officer. He was an avid golfer and was a scratch player in his youth. He had a beautiful singing voice and sang baritone and bass in the church choir and community musical theatre. He was a loving father, loyal friend, and caring son. Loved to tell both good and bad jokes. After he retired from the military in 1992, he got his Master's in Counseling and Human Resources Development from Webster University and worked in the Gadsden School District. He retired in 2011. A Committal Service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 at the West Shelter Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
