Robert D. Edmond

Robert Donald Edmond, 83, was born in Glendale, CA. He graduated from Glendale High School in 1945 and then attended Texas Western College of the University of Texas and graduated in 1951. He served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Hospital Corps as a Pharmacist Mate Third Class and a surgical nurse. He worked at Southwestern General Hospital as a surgical nurse, and later retired from the grocery business. He was a proud member of the Sheriff’s Posse since 1961 And past President in 1986, he also volunteered with the El Paso Police Dept from 1994 to 2009. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Patricia D. Edmond, parents; Julia June Covington Edmond and Donald E. Edmond. His survivors include his wife; Phyllis E. Edmond, sons; Dr Michael Toole Edmond of Austin, TX, Timothy Donald Edmond of Tallahassee, FL, Michael Charles Edmond of El Paso, TX, and Jon Trent Edmond Albuquerque, NM, daughters Dr Jane Covington Weber of Houston, TX, and Patricia Mulvihill of St John, Virgin Islands, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
