A retired veteran of the U.S. Navy of 28 years and recipient of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and two Master’s degrees in Homeland Security and National Security & Strategic Studies. He lived to be on the water, especially to captain his own boat. Richard loved to attend concerts, watch the Dallas Cowboys, and grill out with his loved ones. He is known for his penchant for self-admiration but also his expansive love for others; Richard came from humble beginnings and used his success in his military career to lift up and counsel others to their full potential. He personified hard work, quick wit, and refined taste. His journey was not without tribulation or injury, and tragically his many invisible wounds took him from us before his time. We will forever be marked by his passion and integrity. Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
