Richard Henry Mayo

Richard “Bud” “Rainbow” Mayo, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 12th, 2017. Bud was born on October 15, 1936 in Baraga, Michigan, lived in Clovis, California from 1973 - 1983, and lived his remaining years in El Paso, Texas. His patriotism was evident in his 43 years of proud military service in the U.S. Army and National Guard. Bud is survived by his children Mark Fuller (Debbie), Shelly Rampone (Alex), Kim Barr (Brett), and Rich Mayo (Stacy), his grandchildren Melissa Fuller, Erica Osborne (Shaun Nielsen), Danyele Rampone (Ethan Wright), Blake Barr, and Zachary Mayo, his great-grandchildren Gavin, Raegan, and Austin. Rainbow is also survived by his siblings Jim (Tut), John (Zeb), Pat (Hambone), Paul (Cooter), and Diane (Disie) Mayo. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Elma Mayo, his beloved wife Lois Elizabeth Mayo, his daughter Pamela Sanders, and his brother Gerald Mayo. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 16th from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas. Military Funeral Honors will follow on Monday, July 17th at Fort Bliss National Cemetery
