Coach Richards (Gus) Marshall (77) Richard entered into his eternal home to join the ultimate and everlasting celebration with his Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in El Paso, Texas on May 3, 1934 to parents Glendon and Theodora Marshall. He graduated from Austin High School and went on to work until his retirement at El Paso Natural Gas Company and Gadsden School District. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn Neligan Marshall; brother, Fred Marshall ; Children: James (Therese) Marshall, Nannette (Adam) Reyes, Marie (DJ) Hughes; all of Chaparral, NM and Ted (Pat) Marshall of El Paso, Texas; Grandchildren: Dustin, Amanda, Jason, Jayme, Brian, Jennifer, David and his five precious great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Coach spent many years with the youth programs at Northgate and Chaparral Optimist Clubs. He was also known for his dedication to the mentoring and coaching the youth of his community. In later years he was a coach at Holy Trinity School. He will be deeply missed by many and remembered mostly for his kindness and love to his family and friends. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The celebration of his life will begin on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 with a viewing at 5p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7p.m. Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10 a.m. All celebrations will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 568 Lisa Drive, Chaparral, New Mexico with Deacon Robert Mata and Father Miguel Echeverria officiating. The family has requested all donations be made to the El Paso Alzheimer’s Association and would like to thank UBH Hospital, Dr. Arthur Ramirez, Dr. Branch Craige and his staff .
