Richard A. Dotson

Richard A. Dotson, 82, devoted husband, father and grandfather passed on September 16, 2012. He was born to the parents of Robert and Beulah Dotson on August 19, 1930 in Joplin, MO. Richard was a proud Union Sheet Metal worker with Local 49 of Albuquerque, NM and had just received his 60 year pin. Richard was a member of El Paso Lodge 130 and an affiliated member of Fraternity Lodge 1111, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and El Maida Shrine. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Kathleen Taylor Dotson; daughter Marda Baysden and fiancée Jeff Brown; daughter, Vickie Messex and son-in-law Dennis Messex, Sr.; sister Carolyn and husband Calsidonia Joseph Fiorella; grandchildren: Dennis (Michelle) Messex II; Misty (John) Nagy, Deane (Stacy) Messex, Paul Adkins-Nobles, Dustin (Lori) Messex, Michael Baysden, and Kimberly (Sammy) Costello; great-grandchildren: Courtney, Destiny, Kirsten, John, Brendon, Wyatt, Kaylia, Audrey, Kaitlynn, Coralynn, Madalynn, Matthew, Hunter and Alana. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm, Thursday September 20, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm, Friday September 21, 2012 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
