Ricardo Hermosel Herrera

Ricardo Hermosel Herrera,78, passed away on December 10, 2024, in El Paso, Texas.

Born on December 3, 1946, Ricardo Hermosel Herrera proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and continued working in civil service for another 20 years. Retiring in 2007, he found a passion with the golf course where his talents and dedication shone bright. Apart from his love of golf, Ricardo had a profound talent for woodworking. He transformed raw pieces of wood into beautiful flags and intricate clocks, each creation a testament to his meticulous craftsmanship and artistic vision. A few of his doctor's offices proudly displayed Ricardo’s works, each piece carrying a piece of his spirit and dedication. 

Ricardo loved his family and enjoyed many of the Herrera family gatherings, and attended all with a smile on his face and sarcasm flowing.

Ricardo leaves behind his sister Grace Herrera along with children; Ricardo Hermosel Herrera Jr and wife Jennifer Herrera, Thessalanika Diaz, Carolina Herrera, two grandchildren; James and Marcus Cantu, nine great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

Our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr from 4:00 to 8:00 PM., with a Rosary at 6:00 PM and funeral services at 6:30 PM. A graveside service will be on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
