Ricardo V. Castañón, 73, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Laura Leticia Castañón. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Leticia O. Castañón, sons; Richard O. Castañón of San Antonio, TX, Edward O. Castañón of Calexico, CA, and Albert O. Castañón of Hobbs, NM, daughters; Tania C. Segovia of Dallas, TX, Helena Castañón of Fort Worth, TX, sister; Tania C. Quiros and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2011 with a scripture service at 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Inurnment will be at 10 am on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
