Reydeselle Rivas St. John

Reydeselle “Rey” St. John passed away unexpectedly at age 77 on March 20th 2021. His devoted wife, Myra, never left his side. Rey was born on February 9, 1944, in El Paso Texas and remained a resident of El Paso for the remainder of his life. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1962 and the University of Texas at El Paso in 1978. He also served his country for four years in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan and Scotland. He then retired after 42 plus years as a Civil Service auditor with the U. S. Army Audit Agency . Rey’s exemplary audit supervisions included audit travels throughout the United States, Panama, Honduras, and Ecuador. Rey will be remembered every day by his friends and family for his strong work ethics, his cleverness and being a witty person who always made everyone laugh. His children will remember their father as being a humble man with meaningful words and for his dedication to their growth, diligence, and happiness. Left to mourn is his loving and beautiful wife Myra, who will leave her best friend, her partner, her heart, her rock, and the love of her life. Also, his brothers Rafael St. John (Carmen), Samuel St. John (Lisa) and his sisters Gloria Moore, Loretta Lopez, Belen St. John Ballesteros (Joe) and Lydia St. John Mellado (Robert). Rey is also survived by his sons Reydeselle St. John and Daniel St. John and daughters:, Dominique St. John (Princess) and Vanessa St. John.(Pumpkin) His three grandchildren, Andre, Katrina, and Isaak, along with great granddaughter, Autumn. Additionally, many nieces and nephews who will miss him. Pallbearers ; Reydeselle St. John, Daniel St. John, Rafael St. John, Samuel St. John, Jose Covarrubias, Jr., John Legarreta. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a Rosary to begin at 2:00pm on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast 4631 Hondo Pass.Those that wish to attend Mr. St. Johns rosary virtually can do so at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net. A Funeral Mass will be said at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 9025 Diana Dr. Mass is by invitation only Due to covid restrictions. Those that wish to attend Mass virtually can do so at www.blessedsacrament.org. A Committal Service to follow at 2:00pm Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery 5200 Fred Wilson with Air Force Honors. Due to covid restrictions only 10 immediate family members will be allowed at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Please visit his online registry at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net.
