Retha Nell Finley Bailey, a long time resident of El Paso, TX. passed May 10, 2010. Our hearts are saddened by the loss of this great lady who touched our lives in so many ways. Born in Ore City, Texas to the late Anthony Pinkie Finley and Lorene Jeffery Finley she is preceding in death by her husband of 59 years and one sister, Brunetta. She is survived by one sister; Edna Black (Arthur), three nephews, four nieces, five great nephews, one great-great nephew, five great-great nieces, 1great-great-great niece. Retha was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist church from 1947-1985;Superintendent of the Sunday school, Sunday school teacher, and a choir member. Also a member of Abundant Living Faith Center from 1985 until she was not able to attend due to her health. She was a volunteer Worker in TLC Ministry and taught 5th grade in public schools for over 33 years. Graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Bishop College, Marshall, TX a Masters from NMSU and a counseling certificate from UNLV and University of Reno NV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to area hospitals or favorite charity. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 with a Prayer Service at 6 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Graveside Service will be at 11 am Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Snowhill Baptist Cemetery in Ore City, Texas. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr.
