Renate Ibarra

It was Sunday, July 11, 2010 when God called his daughter, Renate Ibarra home to rest from her labor. Renate was born in Puchheim, Germany on May 5, 1940. She was one of five children born to the late Otto Ziegler and Karolina Weigl Ziegler. Renate’s greatest loves were her family and pets which she always put first. She loved baking Marmorkuchen and her family’s other favorite deserts. Her most cherished memories were family get togethers and visiting family. Oma played an active part in her grandchildren’s lives whom she loved dearly. She also enjoyed outings and lunches with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Rosemarie Ziegler; sister, Karolina Blankenfeld (Hans) and her grandson, Edison Ibarra. Renate Ibarra leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband, Enrique A, Ibarra; son, Enrique B. Ibarra (Marilyhn); daughters, Rosemarie Graham, Adela Fuller (Alfred), and Manuela Ibarra Decker (Henry); grandchildren, Megan and Alfred Jr. Fuller, Rufus Graham, Eric and Vicmar Ibarra; and Marivic Andren; and siblings, Erika Brouczek and Otto Ziegler. Renate will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast with a Vigil/Rosary: 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass with be at 9:15 am, Friday, July 16, 2010 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church. Interment will be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Animal Rescue League of El Paso, www.arlep.org, American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, or the El Paso Diabetes Association, www.epdiabetes.org Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
