Refugio "Cuca" Payan

Refugio “Cuca” Payan passed away on April 6, 2012 at the age of 81. She was a Sunland Park resident since 1961 and a member of San Martin De Porras Catholic Church. She will always be remembered by how much she loved dedicating her time to her two most favorite hobbies, her canaries and the flowers in her garden. She joins her beloved husband Amador, her parents Inez and Counselo Dominguez, sisters Mage & Mary, brother Jesus. She is survived by her daughter Yolanda & Juan Ovalle, three sons, Arturo Payan, Gilbert & Cynthia Payan, Amador Jr. & Blanca Payan. One sister Nancy Dominguez & two brothers Jose & Nicholas Dominguez. Grandmother of 9 & Great Grandmother of 13. Mom, thank you for the Love, the life and joy you gave us. You will always be in our hearts. Visitation will be Thursday, April 12 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-West with Vigil at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at San Martin De Porras Catholic Church, Sunland Park, NM with burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Palbearers will be Sixto, Jerry and Michael Gonzales, Angelica Payan, Arturo and Gabriel Payan, Nathan and Mathew Payan, Jose Dominguez and Juan Ovalle.
