Rebecca Kay Sutton passed away and went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2017, in Rogersville, MO. Beckie is preceded in death by her biological father, Charles Grimes. She is survived by her mother, Katherine Stern-Gilbert of El Paso, her only child, Mallorie Ruth Sutton of El Paso, and two brothers, Michael Ted Stern of Flower Mound, TX and William Paul Stern of Las Vegas, NV, and her adoptive father, Paul Stern of Detroit, MI. Rebecca was born in El Paso, TX on July 8th, 1963, and attended First Assembly of God church where she was dedicated and baptized. She was educated in the El Paso school system – Bonham Elementary, MacArthur Junior High, and Burges High School. Beckie worked at Katherine’s Floral and Gifts as a designer helper and delivered arrangements during the holiday seasons. She has lost one husband by death and one by abandonment. She suffered with bipolar and depression and was physically disabled for the remainder of her life. Rebecca moved to Missouri 23 years ago. She was very compassionate to the elderly and helpful to many people in need in her community. She had a special way of making people laugh and feel good about themselves. Beckie was a breast cancer survivor for 10 years. Services are held in the very capable and compassionate hands at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast on Saturday July 8th at 10:00 AM and committal at Restlawn Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
