After retiring from his military career at Fort Bliss he began working for the US Postal Service, where he was a popular mail carrier for decades before his retirement there. “He was truly a wonderful human being, who was wonderful to his wife and cared deeply for his family.” “Dad was a friend to a lot of people; not only to his children and grandchildren but to all he met. Many people depended upon his abundant love. His greatest happiness was seeing his family happy. He will truly be missed. We love you, ol’man! Take care of your beloved dogs, who went to heaven before you until we meet again.”
“Grandpa was more than just a grandfather. He was also a stand-in father and friend.”
“Pop has a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. Even his loving wife of over Sixty years of marriage could not resist laughing at some of the same stories she had heard many times before. Their love was special!”
