Raul Hernandez Sr. February 28, 1946-February 5, 2011 Resident of El Paso, Texas, Raul Hernandez Sr. passed peacefully at his home in El Paso, Raul was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was retired. He was one of 6 children born to Socorro and the late Ramon Hernandez. He was the beloved husband of Felipa Hernandez for 48 years. She was the love of his life. Raul will forever be remembered by his devoted brother ,Ramon and loving sisters, Manuela, Marcelina, and Magold, beloved children Maria Guadalupe Hernandez, Raul Hernandez Jr., Joanna Perez, Salvador Hernandez, and Carol Hernandez, treasured by gradchildren, Sammy, Emmanuel, and Alejandra Hernandez, Louriz, Jackie, and Andrew Hernandez, Manny, Rosie, and Dante Tovar, Sarhi Flores, Anahi and Daniela Hernandez, Ramon the III and Sabrina Galaviz, Nicholas Seada, beloved great grand children Jacob and Aiden Hernandez, caring in-laws Nely Hernandez, Shelly Hernandez, Antonio Perez, Jose Alfredo Aguilar, and Lazaro Dorado along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. Raul loved listening to music, drinking coffee, fixing every thing that was broken, his garden, laughing, he loved being with family and surrounding himself with his grand children. Raul touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity, and maintained a trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas located at 9521 North Loop, 79907. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church located at 7712 Rosedale. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
