Raul "Pipis" Aguilar Sr. 84, passed away October 13, 2024 at the age of 84. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Raul is survived by sons: Raul Aguilar Jr. and Eduardo Aguilar, daughters: Sylvia Rodriguez and Isela Hernandez, 9 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, two brothers Enrique Aguilar and Ricardo Aguilar, two sisters Dolores Duron and Angelica Hernandez.
Raul left a lasting impression on every person he encountered. He worked 20 years for the City of El Paso Solid Waste Dept., retired and dedicated himself at Santo Angel Church where he played his guitar and sang in the choir. He was affectionate, funny, caring who had a genuine heart. His favorite quotes were "ATM" (A toda madre) and where is my tequila and coronitas, you are now our guardian angel may you rest in peace.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 24, 2024 St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd. Committal Service to follow at 11:45 on Thursday October 24, 2024 at Mt Carmel Cemetery 401 S. Zaragoza.
