Raquel Hinojosa

Raquel Hinojosa, 97, passed on to be with the Lord our savior on March 20, 2008. Born in Harlingen TX on August 10, 1910 and resided in El Paso for the last 45 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and a loving inspiration to all who knew her as a “Granny”. Raquel was preceded in death by her husband Ismael. She is survived by her sons Hector Hinojosa, Roberto Hinojosa and daughter Rachel Lujan. Grandchildren include Diane, Sam, Dahlia, Roberto, Sonya, Tony, Christina, John, Vince, Lisa and 11 great grandchildren. Granny will always be remembered for her kind heart, gentleness and ability to bring happiness and joy to everyone around her. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, from 4–9 p.m. and a Rosary at 6 p.m., Sunset Funeral Homes-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, March 25, 9:15 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church and graveside service at 10:30 a.m. at Ft.
