Ramona C. Dias, age 79, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 02, 2023. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and will be dearly missed. Ramona is preceded in death by her parents; Joseph R. Dias and Olinda Alves, and her siblings; Gilbert Dias, Joseph Dias Jr., Norman Dias, Richard Dias, Gloria Dias, and Diane Rollins. She is survived by her four beloved children; Darlene Dias (Michael), Donnell Dias-Gaylor (Jeannine), Charity Brimley, and Stacey Dias-Penn (Lamont), her grandchildren; Star Garcia, Shaundell Dias, Edia Dias, Skye Dias, Sasha Lopes, Tiarra Burgess, Doris Dias, Donnell Jr., Mona Lisa Dias, Jordan Dias, D'iijon Magnett, and Emmanuel Dias, her great-grandchildren; Kyra Piggie, Jaxen Nelson, Bella Dias, Olive Dias, Cornelius Byard Jr., Daylene Felix, Liliana Lopes, Amelia Lopes, Noah Lopes, Kadeth Paenmuan , Jacqueline McCall, and Winter Dias as well as a host of nephews and nieces. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.
In addition to Ramona’s love and devotion toward her family, she also enjoyed gardening and birds. All birds and plants were given special names by her. If she wasn’t gardening, you could find her sitting by the pool drinking wine while oldies (but goodies), such as Gladys Knight’s “Midnight train to Georgia”, Dorothy Moore, Misty Blue, or even Gospel music, played in the background. One could also find her early in the morning at Walmart.
Her professional legacy led her to work at Linen Sheens, New England Baptist Hospital, and Crown Uniform and Linen services where she retired. Ramona’s hard work and dedication blessed her with the opportunities to travel to countless places, including outside of the country. Aruba will always have a special place in her heart.
Ramona was blessed to have many friends and family in her life. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement.
-with love,
The Dias family
