Ramon Ricardo Gonzalez

Ramon R. Gonzalez, 85, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Ramon was born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico on March 25, 1937. In his late teens, he moved to El Paso where he began working in construction. Ramon worked for many years in the restaurant industry as a waiter and bartender.

Although his education was cut short, he was an avid reader who was very knowledgeable of world events, had a way with words, a keen sense of humor, and always had a sarcastic comeback to nonsense. He loved a game of pool, camping, taking long walks, all genres of music, songs on repeat, dancing, and his grandkids.

Ramon is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Adela, sons; Ricky and Luis Gonzalez, daughter; Carolina Subia, five grandchildren, Amie, Christina, Isaac, David and Noel; and seven great-grandchildren, Ezra, Hendrix, Dali, Justin, Kayla, Jason, and Joshua.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a Rosary at 12:00 PM, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes – East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 7424 Mimosa Ave.
