It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Barton Family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. Ralph Eugene Barton, 90, long time resident of El Paso, TX. Passed away Friday March 30th surrounded by his loving family. Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife of 65 years Frances Marie Barton; his children Kathryn Lesly husband Odell, Linda Tanksley husband Spencer, Jim Barton wife LuAnne, Nancy Barnett husband Cooper, and Brenda McMeans. Other Survivors include grandchildren William Lesly wife Shauntay, Kristi Carrasco husband Carlos, Colin wife Susan and Courtney Tanksley, Isaac, Rebekah, Aaron and Sydney Barton, Jennifer and Daren Baca, Ethan Barnett along with great-grandchildren Alexis, Nicholas, and Isabella Licon, Cole and Cade Tanksley. He is also survived by his brothers Royce Barton and Bill Barton and his ever faithful dog Buddy who he loved dearly. Ralph was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy and was Co-Owner of Barton Brothers Texaco station and Auto Parts. Ralph recently received his pin for 50 years of service as a member of the John T. Bean Masonic Lodge #1333 and Scottish Rites. He surrounded his life with family, friends, travel, racing pigeons and a love for gardening. If anyone could make a stick produce a bloom, it was him! The family would like to thank all of the doctors and staff from Sierra Providence East Medical Center for their tireless gentle care of our father in his final moments; especially his ICU nurses and all of our extended family and friends for all of their support in such a difficult time. Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m., Monday April 2, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
