Rafaela Ordoñez

Rafaela Ordoñez, “FELA” passed away in her home on Friday, March 25, 2011 surrounded by her family. Rafaela was preceded in death by Raul Ordoñez loving husband of 45 years. She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, born to Soledad Soto. Rafaela was a devoted wife and a loving mother and blessed all the lives she touched. A passion for sewing, allowed her to make family heirlooms. As a retired grandmother, she was able to enjoy her grandchildren and be a huge part of their lives. Her faith in God shined through her daily and was passed on to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by sons; Raul, Victor Hugo, Rafa, and Martin Ordoñez, daughters; Cachita Maynez, Melin Manzanares, Liz Arias, and Araceli Acosta, 14 grandchildren, brothers; Jose and Santos Chavarria and sisters; Cuquita Soto, Maria de Jesus Sanchez, Delia Monarez, and Rosita Chavarria. Services celebrating her life will be held as follows: Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2011 with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Sorrow Church, 7712 Rosedale. Interment will follow immediately at Evergreen East Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
