Rafael Vasquez, Aug. 20, 1917- Oct. 1, 2008. Was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas and worked for Asarco for 40 years. He was also a loyal volunteer of the CC Camp. Preceded in death by his sons; Antonio Vasquez, Rafael Martin, and daughter; Tonita Vasquez. His survivors include his loving wife; Antonia M. Vasquez, sons, Rafael Jr., Manuel, Guadalupe, Louie, and Apolonio Vasquez, daughters; Guillermina Corbette, Margie Trujillo, Tina Lara, and Irene Garcia, sisters; Carmen, Leonor and Consuelo, 34 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. Dad/Grandpa you have blessed us all throughout the years, with your guidance, we will mourn, but carry on with you in all our hearts forever. You will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2008 with a Vigil at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East located at 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Monday, October 6,2008 at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church at 4700 Delta El Paso, Texas. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
