Phoebe Rae Larson

Phoebe Rae Larson, 74, passed away May 28, 2007 in St. George, Utah due to medical complications from heart problems. She was born November 26, 1932 in Tooele, Utah to Cloyd Burton Rimington and Gwen Davis. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Russell Larson, on May 18, 1951 in Pasco, Wash. Rae was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and Seattle Wash., with her last two years of high school spent in Pasco, Wash. Her friends called her Rae or Phoebe Rae. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother and granny. She was extremely passionate and always willing to give to and help others. She followed her husband with her family to various places throughout the world. She had a passion for genealogy, spending many hours researching and teaching family history. Rae was also very creative. She seemed to always be working on some kind of hobby or project. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd Burton Rimington and Gwen Davis as well as her sister, Vivian Lefley who passed away 4 days prior to Rae. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bruce Russell Larson; children: Guy (Billie Kay), Blain (June), Kurtis (Diana), Cindi, Paula (Dan), and Pam; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Debbie Heritage. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 3, 2007 from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 am Monday June 4, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the LDS Humanitarian Fund.
