Phillip Raymond Boaz, 100, passed away on May 8, 2021 in El Paso, TX.
Phil was born in Lindale, TX to Homer and Eva Jo (Ford) on April 16, 1921. He married Wanda Josephine Smith on January 14th, 1945 in Mexia, TX. He was a decorated WWII Army veteran. In El Paso, he worked as a Border Patrol agent and then a bus driver for Continental Trailways, retiring in 1985.
Phil is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; two sons, Ray and Larry; and grandson Bobby Boaz.
Phil is survived by his son Billy Joe Boaz (Dora); daughter-in-law Cyndi Brown (Gregg), Stephen Boaz (Rama); niece Anne Marie Sandefer; grandchildren Amy Brock (Michael), Scott Boaz (April), Kevin Boaz (Alaina), David Boaz (Birdy), Casey Pirtle (Evan), and Gary Boaz; 9 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and dear friends Lois Bates, Lola Powell, and Mary Jo Jackson.
Funeral Services will be Friday, May 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas with Bob Nickell officiating.
