Philip Shawn Blake

Philip Shawn Blake passed away on April 21, 2013. He was born on June 4, 1961 in Ruidoso, NM. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Blake of 33 years and their children: Skylier and spouse Diana Blake, Desire Blake, and Zachery Blake. Shawn was a hard worker all his life and held Master Plumber Certification. He and Sandra ran a successful plumbing business in northeast El Paso for the last ten years. Shawn’s favorite pleasures in life were spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and restoring classic cars. He loved being in the outdoors and never missed an opportunity to be in good company. He served as a Girl Scout Master for Desire (Daddy’s Little Girl). He thoroughly enjoyed watching Skylier and Zachery play hockey all over the country and rarely missed an opportunity to see them compete. Shawn was loved and respected by everyone that was fortunate to have met him. He was very proud of the life he had, he always took the time to say so. Shawn will be missed by so many, his memories, laughter and love for life will be cherished and carried on forever in the hearts and minds of every path he crossed, whether you knew him a day or years, it took only a moment to fall in love with the man he was. Visitation will take place at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by Memorial from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013. Interment to follow at Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo, NM. Pallbearers are Benjamin Gomez, Paul Houston, Albert Lopez, Benjamin Quesada, Jimmy Rodriquez, Al Ruz, Adrian Valerio and Albert Villegas.
