Petra Esparza Amador

Petra Esparza Amador, 70, was born in Fresnio Zacatecas, Mexico. She passed away January 8, 2011 after an extended illness. She passed away in her home, embraced by her loving family. She retired from Old El Paso Canning Company where she worked for 25 years. She was also a member of United Food Commercial Union Local 505A. Mrs. Amador will be fondly remembered by family and friends for being dedicated, hard working and giving herself to others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Antonio Esparza and Alvina Rosales Carmona de Esparza. She is survived by her nine children: Joe Mireles, Elivra Valles, Alex Mireles, Bertha Mireles, Ricardo Mireles, Luis Mireles, Susie Mireles, Johnny Mireles and Carlos Mireles; a sister, Delfina Flores; a brother, Isidro Esparza; twenty-four grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast located at 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at San Juan Bautistia Catholic Church located at 5647 Dailey. Interment will follow at Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
