Peter Max Rivera

Peter-Max Rivera passed away on February 10, 2009, peacefully from the arms of his loving family and friends to the loving arms of his LORD. He was born May 10, 1967 in El Paso to Irma Hernandez and Manny Rivera. He is preceded in death by his maternal (Ponce) and paternal grandparents, Uncle Max, Cousin James and his uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Peter is survived by his parents, his sister Bernadette, his daughter Amanda, his niece Crystal, nephew Matthew, his beloved Sheltie Andros-Max, many uncles, aunts cousins, and the many friends that he touched with his music, his humor and a big heart. Peter was a drummer and vocalist for a variety of Rock, Blues, Pop, and Tejano bands in El Paso, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Antonio and Austin, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 pm, Friday, February 13, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service officiated by Father Miguel Luna will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment is private. A gathering will be held at the VFW Yucca Post #8919, 5535 Saluki, from 11: am-1:00 pm. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
