Penny C. Hardesty

It is with heavy hearts and minds that we acknowledge the passing of a wonderful woman and one of the kindest spirits that have walked this earth. She was a lover of all beings, furry and human.  

Penny Charline Villeneuve-Hardesty died from unexpected complications on Thursday, December 1, 2022, two months shy of her 70^th birthday. And while she died too young, she lived a life that was full of love and fulfillment.  

She is survived by the family she created in her heart starting with her children: Kirk and Jerri Hardesty, Dawn Zumar, and Barbie Zavala; her grandchildren: Nicholas, Alex, Tori, and Jeremy; and finally, her close friends and neighbors who were like extended family to her.  

Penny will be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous soul and savior to all things that needed love and a home, especially her cats.  She was truly diligent when it came to the humane control of all feral animals, but her heart belonged to her cats who ruled their domicile.  

Penny would not want us to become mired down in grief over her passing - her fondest wish would be that we, who have to live without her, celebrate her life and her love for us by being remembered for all of the funny, strange, and silly things that she said/did.  Please help us to celebrate her memory by relating a personal story of how she impacted your life with her positivity and light.
