“I WILL bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1 Peggy O. Roberts was born on March 17, 1931 in Ranger, Texas to Lovie and Pauline Christopher. She was the second of three children, two brothers, Homer and David. She attended Roswell High School and was an active member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and throughout her life never failed to give God the glory. She met and married Arnold Roberts, Jr. and from this union, five daughters were born of which one is deceased. Sister Roberts joined Unity Missionary Baptist Church on March 22, 1998 and was a faithful member. She had a quiet and giving spirit and always had words of encouragement for anyone who came into her presence. Sister Roberts departed this life to continue her journey with the Lord on March 18, 2010. She left a legacy of love and was a trusted confidante. She enjoyed listening to her grandchildren and always told them to trust in God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovie and Pauline Christopher, daughter, Arnita Roberts and husband, Arnold. She is survived by brothers, Homer Christopher and David Christopher (Frances); daughters, Roberta Roberts-Tuck, Geneva M. Henderson(Bobby), Velora Carter and Paula Roberts; grandchildren Sharona Ward (Corey), Elizabeth Tuck, Corinthia Roberts, great-grandchildren, Zion and Zaren Ward, and a host of family and friends. Visitation: 5:00-9:00 pm, Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Friday, March 26, 2010 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
