Pedro D. Martinez

Pedro D. Martinez, 98 was born June 30, 1908. He grew up and lived most of his life in El Paso, TX. He passed away peacefully at the Oasis Nursing Home on Saturday, March 17, 2007. He was an exceptionally qualified roofer with many years of experience. He is preceded in death by his wife, Petra, parents; Esteban and Abundia, 6 brothers; Eduardo, Catarino, Baldomero, Francisco, Alberto and Jose, and 2 sisters; Juana Parra and Tomasa Gomez. He is survived by his daughter; Velia M. Villa, son-in-law Salvador, 5 grandchildren; Salvador Roberto Jr., (wife Sylvia), Carmen V. Ivery (husband Louis), Cecilia V. Beard, Sylvia V. Felder (husband Algie), and Leticia V. Rivera (husband Miguel), 10 Great-grandchildren; Victor, Melina, Naomi, Noah, Eddie, Nancy, Yvonne, Carolyn, Christina, and Diego, 8 Great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Family wishes to thank the employees of Oasis Nursing home that assisted Pedro during his time of need. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Father Grandfather and Friend,you will be Greatly Missed. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 4-9 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East with a Vigil at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 9 am at Mount Carmel (Old Mission). Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
