Pedro "Pete" M. Gomez

Pedro “Pete” M. Gomez, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. He was a long time resident of El Paso. “Pete” proudly served his country for 26 years before he retired from the U. S. Army, among his Medals are the National Defense Service Medal W/OLC and Army commendation Medal W/OLC. Pete is survived by his loving wife of 61 years; Norma Gomez, his sons: Joe Gomez, Ralph Gomez , Pete Gomez Jr., and Andrew Gomez, daughters; Norma Gomez Janko and Carmen Gomez. 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Gomez will have Visitation on Sunday April 27, 2008 from 4 until 9 pm with a Vigil at 7:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East located at 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 1 pm on Monday, April 28, 2008 at St. Michael’s Center Chapel # 2 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Graveside Service will Follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
