Pedro C. Jimenez

Pedro C. Jimenez, 91, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. He was a resident of El Paso, TX for the past 47 years. Mr. Jimenez, served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. While in the army he served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater of operations for 13 months. He was a mechanic with Southern Pacific Railroad and El Paso Sand. He also enjoyed agricultural work and outdoor activities. Mr. Jimenez was preceded in death by his wife; Mercedes H. Jimenez, son; Ruben Jimenez, and grandson; Ruben Troncoso. He will be missed by his daughter; Maria Magdalena Troncoso and son-in-law Rodolfo Troncoso Jr., sisters; Josefina Jimenez and Eva Amelia Amaro, and granddaughter; Veronica Jimenez. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Thursday, February 18, 2010 with a Vigil at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East located at 750 N. Carolina Dr. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery with military honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
