Pedro H. Rodriguez

Pedro H. Rodriguez, 92, passed away on July 6, 2024. Pedro was born on September 3, 1931 in East Chicago, Indiana and was the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters. He met Paulina Gardea in the Catholic Action group in Juarez, Mexico when he was 20 years old. They were married 8 years later on October 31, 1959. Before their marriage, Pedro served in the United States Army, deployed in the Korean War, and he then graduated from Texas Western College (now UTEP) with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Physics. He worked at White Sands Missile Range for 28 years before retiring. Pedro and Paulina were blessed with four children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pedro is preceded in death by his daughter, Pauline. He is survived by his wife Paulina (96 years old), his sons, Pedro, Miguel Angel, Roberto (Jan) his grandchildren Angela (Matt), Justin (Lauren), Matthew and Alex and great grandchildren (Maya and Zara). Pedro lived a very happy life, sharing 72 years with Paulina. He was beloved by many generations.

Visitation will take place from 2:00 - 5:00 PM with Rosary at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 9025 Diana. Committal Service will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
