Pedro Edmundo Espinoza

November 20, 1914 — April 10, 2009

Pedro Edmundo Espinoza, 94, a life-long resident of El Paso, Texas passed away at home on Friday, April 10, 2009 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Dolores Amaro Espinoza. He is survived by his children Pedro Edmundo Jr., Retired U.S. Navy Seabee’s, David and Joseph Espinoza, Dolores Chavez, Guillermina Espinoza, Magdalena Johnson, Irma Espinoza-Cano and Terri Medrano; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a WWII combat veteran and was a PFC Medical Technician with the 623rd Medical Division. He served in the European Theatre in five campaigns: Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the American Theatre Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Victory Ribbon, Three Overseas Service Bars. He answered the call to serve with honor and pride. Our Daddy will be greatly missed and he will forever be loved and in our hearts. Dad, may God grant you eternal rest. Visitation from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
