Paula Barry Jeser

September 29, 1947 — May 19, 2020

PAULA BARRY JESER entered into the hands of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the age of 72. Paula was born on September 29, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas to Claude and Dana Barry. On September 11, 1976, she married the love of her life, Tom Jeser. Paula and her husband worked side by side to create Jeser Home Realty where she was office manager. They raised two beautiful daughters, Cecily and Jacklyn. The pride and joy of Paula’s life were her grandchildren: Taryn, Sebastian, Jillian, Kysen and Brynlee. She was cherished as a loving wife, a selfless mother, and a wonderful nana. Paula will be remembered for her faith and her passion for the Lord Jesus Christ. She gave to her beloved city of El Paso through Christian Women’s Job Corp (CWJC) where she served as the Executive Director for 20 years. She poured her heart and love into the women who CWJC has changed over the years. She also was a CWJC certified instructor where she traveled globally and trained women so they could start CWJCs in their communities. Paula also ministered to many women as President of Texas Women’s Missionary Union. Paula grew up riding horses and watching her dad play polo. When she was younger, she also enjoyed teaching children at the Sheriff's Posse to ride horses. She passed that passion on to her kids and grandchildren. Her happiest moments were watching her grandchildren ride horses. Paula was known for her giving heart, compassion, and faith. Paula Barry Jeser was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Hewitt and Dana Alice Barry. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Thomas Allin Jeser, her two daughters; Cecily Denise Jeser-Cannavale and Jacklyn Michelle Richards, their spouses; Jason Drew Cannavale and Shaylor Paul Richards; and her 5 grandchildren; Taryn Cannavale, Kysen Richards, Sebastian Cannavale, Jillian Cannavale and Brynlee Richards. She was loved by many brothers and sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 11:00AM at Sunset Funeral Home-West, with Dr. Mark Rotramel officiating.
