Paul D. Bowden

Paul D. Bowden,73, passed away on April 17, 2021 in El paso Texas. Paul was born in Alabama in 1948 and left to join the Army at 17. He served for 22 years before retiring to El Paso where he had met his beautiful wife. Paul and Brenda married in 1970 and had 51 wonderful years together. Paul worked in warehouse management before retiring in 2018. He enjoyed working in his shed and learning new hobbies. He had just begun wood crafting and making projects for his family when he fell ill. Paul was a rock for his family and all who knew him. He would help with anything we needed, even if it meant dropping what he was doing or if it were 2 in the morning. Paul was a great father and an amazing grandfather, a true family man. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Zora and Lewis Bowden. He is survived by his wife Brenda, sons Paul Jr and John, daughter-in-law Andrea, and his grandson Nathaniel. Paul is also survived by his seven brothers and sisters: Jimmy, Claude, Jane, Lavada, Linda, Melba and John. Paul also leaves behind many grieving nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Paul D. Bowden, 73, Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Prayer Service at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
