Patricia Jean Uphoff

Patricia Jean Uphoff, 59, daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was called to be with our Lord on 17 May 2013. Born on 21 May 1953 in El Paso, Texas to parents Thomas and Billie McConnell. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Francis McConnell, Jr. Patricia is survived by her husband Joel, her son James and wife Julie, her son Jonathan, her mother Billie Rose McConnell, brother Thomas F. McConnell III and wife Denise, sister Perri Parkman and husband Bruce, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Patricia loved her family dearly and devoted herself to caring for her husband and two sons. Being a military wife, Patricia traveled overseas with her family and lived part of her life in Fulda and Frankfurt, West Germany, giving birth to her youngest son, Jonathan in 1978 in Frankfurt. She also enjoyed driving down Highway 28 to Old Mesilla to shop and have lunch or dinner in the Plaza restaurants. Pat loved animals and always made sure ‘her’ birds had food, especially on cold winter days. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 21 May 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, with a Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home –Northeast, located at 4631 Hondo Pass.
